Wichita Eisenhower National Airport recorded 6.38 inches of rain in 24 hours on June 25–26, 2026. The 5.31 inches that fell on June 25 alone set a daily rainfall record for that date and was Wichita's ninth-highest daily rainfall total since records began in 1889 — the highest since 2016. The Wichita metro and southern Sedgwick County saw a widespread 4–7 inches, much of it in just two to three hours. Flash flooding generated roughly 112 reports of stalled or stranded vehicles in Wichita, several waterways reached flood stage, and some basement apartments in west Wichita were evacuated.
